postering nominee proposal – 50 hw points

For this task, you will create a brief proposal that outlines what you are going to argue about in your two posters for your nominee and how’ll you do it. Think of this as a justification for your poster. It’s a way to get your ideas down and think about how they’ll work in your webtext. Your proposal should be composed using a similar layout with headings as shown below. I expect this to be written in formal language and be free from spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes. You need to be concise. Each section needs to have a clearly written purpose and have strong transitions.

Title (what are you going to call this project as a whole)

posters’ purposes

In this section, you will describe what you are doing and why you are doing it. And ya can’t just say it’s for class.  Seriously. Imagine why we are doing this and what the posters aim to show. What do you want to teach the world about your nominee? (200-300 words)

research

In this section, describe what you have found out so far. Include references to three credible sources about your nominee. These sources could come from websites, other students, and articles about the nominee. Also, use the award criteria to supplement what you selected in your research (i.e., how you think your nominee fits the criteria).  You know, what are your posters gonna say and how will they separate your nominee from others? (250-500 words).

plan

For this part, you will explain a little about your posters. Describe what you think you’ll be doing in terms of design (think logos of arrangement and style and pathos and ethos).  What sort of rhetorical style do you want to portray and why? Make sure to use at least three concepts from class that help you explain this part!(250-500 words).
