quizzes & hw – 10%
The quizzes will be collective. I’ll ask an individual a question and if he/she answers correctly then the class gets full credit.
As far as homework is concerned, we’ll be doing a lot of small projects and work in class. To receive full credit on homework, you have gotta turn it in on time, meet all the requirments, and show you cared by making the homeworks or quizzes spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistake free! You also show you cared by showing you have critically thought about the questions asked through your insightful discussion.
Some of the really important homeworks to look out for involve your nichepertise and creating your brand.
evaluation of quizzes and homework
A – your quiz/hw is critical and thoughtful. Follows directions and meets requirements. If called for, it cites and/or summarizes the text in order to support points, and illustrates a clear grasp of the topic at hand. No grammar, punctuation, or spelling problems unless done for effect. Your quiz/hw makes sense and is easy to follow/understandable.
B – your quiz/hw lacks some level of critical engagement. If called for, it cites and/or summarizes the text to some degree, but a clear grasp of the topic is not fully illustrated and/or one of the requirments is not performed correctly. May have grammar, punctuation, or spelling problems. Your quiz/hw is not as easy to follow as an “A.”
C – your quiz/hw lacks critical engagement with text, and uses little to no support. Illustrates little understanding of the text, the initial response, and/or one or more of the requirments is not met. Many grammar, punctuation, or spelling problems. Your homework is confusing or feels incomplete.
