Welcome, yoyoyo, & heyheyhey!
From this website you'll find resources about the classes I teach, my research, and information about me outside of being an English Professor.
Since this is a homepage, I'll give you a snapshot or a synecdoche of current interests.
I enjoy teaching, researching, and creating just about anything digital. My family is made up of my wife and our two dogs, one cat, four birds, three turtles, a Kindle, an iMac, two Macbooks, an ipad, three iPods, two iPod shuffles, and an Asus Eee pc.
If ya need to get to class, click on the classes page or browse the archives of old classes I've taught.
The Bio page has more information about me. Pics is where you'll find some pictures of my family. Projects is where I have some projects posted that I'm workin' on and thinkin' about.
Bio
Learn a little about me!
This is my bio page! I list some of my education history, where I am now, and list some hobbies of mine. Enjoy this synecdoche of my life.
I was born in Anchorage, Alaska went to Sand Lake Elementary, Mears Junior High, and Dimond High School. After high school, I moved to New Orleans and went to school at Loyola University. The Big Easy was the big difficult for me, and I missed Alaska so after a semester I moved back to the Last Frontier and went to school at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Finally, my wife and I moved to the Palouse and I graduated with my undergraduate, master's, and doctorate from Washington State University.
Right now, I am an assistant professor of English at McDaniel College. I teach courses in English focused on digital technology and culture. Oh yeah, I'm also an editor at "Harlot: A revealing look at the arts of persuasion."
I backpack, try to play drums, and am addicted to television. I am a fan of Xena, Hercules, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Spartacus, Mad Men, Simon and Simon, Magnum P.I., Modern Family, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, The Good Wife, and Justice League. There're more but this is all I can think of right now.
